Just because you have curly hair doesn’t mean you can’t try some of the season’s hottest colors! As more and more curly haired women are embracing their natural texture and rocking their big, bold, beautiful curls, more are also experimenting with how color looks in their curls. Here are a few of our favorite looks!
Natural Black with Brown: If you want to get your feet wet with color but don’t want to commit to a process that will hugely change your curls, consider this soft and sophisticated look. The brown offers a difference in hue to help show off your curl’s texture and shape.
Red Hot: Fiery reds are everywhere these days and we can’t get enough of these curlies rocking this vibrant hue! Whether you got for an all over color or just sections, the red with your natural color can create some really unique and fun highlights.
Perfectly Purple: There are a million ways to rock purple hair and every one is truly amazing! From deep, electric purples, to plums to silvery lavenders, there are purples out there for every curly’s personality and preference. Work with your stylist to figure out the best look for you.
Silver and Grey: Silver and grey curls are having a moment that doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Getting this look can be a little more intensive, as darker curls will need to be lightened significantly to show off the silver color. However, many curlies are in love with this edgy, sleek and yet sophisticated look.
Passionately Pink: Millennial pink isn’t just for your bedspread or front doors anymore! Pinks have been popular for awhile, but soft pinks are really winning with curlies everywhere. You can go for an all over look or opt for some soft pink highlights to help showcase your glamorous curls.
Rainbowlicious: Can’t decide on one color? That’s ok! You try several with the increasingly popular rainbow, unicorn, galaxy, sunset and sunrise looks! You can layer several different shades of pinks, purples, reds and oranges to have your curls mimic a red hot sunset, or opt for cooler shades of blue, purple, and green to emulate a mystical mermaid. When it comes to the array of options out there for creating a unique look for you and your curls, the possibilities are absolutely endless.
