If you’re looking for a way to keep your curls hydrated, consider the LOC Method . LOC stands for liquid, oil, and cream method. If you don’t moisturize your curls, you might find they break easily, a dry, and are difficult to style.

Why should I use the LOC Method?

If you use the LOC Method after every time you wash your curls, you might see reduced damage, better elasticity, and an overall improvement of the health of your curls.  The liquid will open up your curl’s cuticles, which will allow the oil to penetrate your curl’s shaft, moisturizing them. The cream coats your strands, which allows the moisture to stay trapped within for a longer period of time.

Liquid:

You can use this method either in the morning or the evening. However, using the method at night will allow more time for the oil to be absorbed into your hair. Being this part of the method by applying water, aloe vera juice, or a leave in conditioner to your curls. Do this by sectioning your curls and applying the product to each section to ensure saturation.

Oil:

Once you’ve utilizing the liquid, it’s time to add the oil. You can continue to work with your curls in sections. Select the oil you need for your curls based upon your curls’ level of porosity and apply it evenly throughout your hair. If you need to, you can mix and match oils based upon your hair’s needs.

Cream:

Once your hair has been hydrated and oiled, it’s time to seal your strands down with a cream. Select a styling cream which will allow your curls to retain the moisture you just added in. A good styling cream will help define your curls and keep them in shape throughout the day. If your curls are fine, choose a lighter weight product so as not to weigh your curls down.
