The Easiest Way To A Messy Curly Bun

Step one:

Start by refreshing your curls if you're using second or third day curls. To regain volume in your roots and absorb oil, spray your roots with dry shampoo. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes to absorb, and then use your fingers to work it through, while lifting your curls away from your scalp. After, spritz your strands with a curl refreshing spray. This will allow your strands to pop back, and provide more volume to the bun. Allow the curls to dry for a few minutes.

Step two:

Pull your curls back in a loose ponytail. Position is based upon where you'd like your bun. For example, for a high bun tie the ponytail on the top of your head. For a low bun, secure it at the nape of your neck. Wrap the ponytail around twice, but keep it loose.

Step three:

Take small sections of your curls, and pin it around the ponytail. Continue until all the hair has been looped and pinned. Use hair spray to keep curls in place, and then pull down any strands you'd like to frame your face. You can keep this as messy or as structured as you'd like. Use extra pins as needed to keep you bun secure.
