Styles for curls

Curls come in all shapes and forms. Each one is as unique as the head it’s on, so that can make figuring out what styles work for you a tad tricky sometimes. However, there are a lot of great styles for curls out there. Here are a few of our favorites, and we hope you’ll love them too.

Natural girl:

We spend a lot of time trying to force our curls into being something else, or into a style. However, your curls are probably just absolutely gorgeous as they are, and you should embrace that! If you’re trying to think of something to do with your curls, try doing nothing at all. A great wash and go is a good way to let your natural shape come through without having to do much with your hair.

Front fringe:

Not only is this look relatively low effort, it’s also very cool. It works best for curly girls with front framing layers or fringe. To get it, you’re going to want to leave one third of your hair (in the front) out, and then tie the remaining two thirds into a ponytail at the back of your head. You can do high or low, depending on your preferences. Pull the front hair forward, creating a faux fringe, and fluff as needed. Texture is ideal to getting this look, so don’t feel like you have to do too much adjusting or smoothing of bumps. You can rock this look at the office, for a wedding, or even on date night. Really, it can be adjusted to fit whatever you need.

Low roll:

This style will work well on all types of curls, and can be achieved with some different lengths as well. You might find it works best for second day strands, and you can add in dry shampoo as needed to boost your curl’s volumes. Smooth your strands back, and gather them at the nape of your neck. Then, secure with a ponytail holder, and roll the ponytail up underneath, creating a small bump. Secure it in place with pins, and give your strands a light dusting of hair spray.
