A loose updo is a great way to show off your natural style. A look like this is easy to achieve by sweeping your curls back, and securing them at the back of your head in a knot. Pull a few tendrils loose to hang around your face, and this look can be great for the boardroom, an evening out, or even for a wedding!

The 1980s are back, whether we're ready for it or not. While you probably shouldn't be dousing your curls with AquaNet any time soon, you might find yourself sitting down for a shag hair cut. In this look, the shag cut helps curls get more movement and lift, and the highlights showcase individual curls.

Many curly girls believe they can't wear bangs, and that's simply not true. This short fringe provides some interest over the forehead, and the shorter curls in the back help create some layers and volume. This is a great look that can be customized easily based upon your curl type and preference.

Long locks are in. To get this ethereal, bohemian look, ask your stylist for long layers throughout the length of your curls. This will give your hair movement, and visual interest. Around the face, ask your stylist to cut an asymmetrical bang, which your can straighten or allow to stay curly.

For our girls with thicker coils, we know how difficult it can be to find hair styles that work well. However, this braided crown updo hits all the markers; it's beautiful, easy to accomplish, and can be a great protective style. The braided crown is elegant, and it can be tucked underneath for more serious occasions. If you're in a rush or have less formal engagements, you can leave the ends down and simply tie them off as braids.
