Over time and as length increases, curls tend to become weighed down. Adding in layers will allow for curls to bounce back, and showcase your hair.
When shampooing your hair, make sure you're focusing on massaging your scalp with shampoo. When it's time to rinse, tilt your head back under the stream and allow the water to run through your curls to rinse out the shampoo. Make sure the water is cool or cold to close the cuticle back down.
After showering, don't jump out and rub your curls dry. Instead, focus on using a microfiber towel or tshirt to blot dry your curls. Cup your curls and squeeze them to remove excess water and help curls retain their natural shape.
