I don't know about you, but I don't like to wait, especially when it comes to curl growth. I've been growing my curls out for several years now and I'm always down for any tips or tricks to make them grow faster. Healthy curls will mean stronger curls, which will allow you to gain length more quickly. While most hair grows 1/2 inch a month, there are lots of techniques out there to push your hair to grow faster. We've compiled some of our favorites for your to check out here.
Massage: If you want to encourage curl growth, consider treating your scalp to a daily massage, or massaging when you cleanse. You can do this by rubbing your finger tips onto your scalp to help stimulate blood flow, which encourages growth.
Hydrate: We can't say enough about the importance of good hydration. To make sure you're getting enough water, divide your current weight in half and then drink the same amount of ounces per day. For example, if you weigh 160 lbs, you should try to drink 80 ounces of water a day.
Inversion: You can do this by hanging your curls upside down and massaging them with an oil of your choice for 5 minutes per day. This allows your curls to get better blood flow, which will encourage growth.
Exercise: You might notice that many of these suggestions encourage a healthy lifestyle. If you're eating right, getting enough water and plenty of exercise, you'll encourage a healthy body system. Healthy bodies leads to healthy curl growth!
Veggies: If you're trying to grow healthy hair, consider adding more vegetables to your diet. Veggies are loaded with nutrients and minerals, all of which are important foundations for curl growth. If you want to add an extra boost, consider adding a multivitamin to your daily diet, or look into supplements like biotin, which encourage hair and nail growth.
