When it comes up curls, most curly girls spend a lot of time trying to get their strands to grow longer. If you’re trying to get longer curls, don’t despair! Here’s some tips to help increase your curl’s length.
Apply castor oil by massaging it directly into your scalp in any areas you motive thinning or just all over to give your hair a boost. You can do this several times a week to help increase curl growth and maintain length.
Aloe Vera juice:
You can drink fresh aloe vera juice or apply it to your scalp and strands for extra hydration. You can also mix it with water to spritz in your hair to help hydrate and refresh hair. To use, simply spritz throughout your curls whenever they need a refresher.
If you haven’t already, consider adding foods rich in Omega-3s to your diet, such as broccoli, flaxseed and fish like salmon. If none of these foods strike your fancy, you can also pick it up in pill form. This will help protect your strands from damage by increasing your hair’s natural oils and strengthening the integrity of your curls.
Silk or satin:
At night, lay your curls to rest on silk or satin. You can wear a bonnet, a silk lined cap or opt for a luxurious satin pillowcase. Cotton wicks moisture away from curls and the coarser fabric can tear at strands. Silk allows your curls to slip across its surface without damage. When you go out in cold or windy weather make sure to cover your curls with a silk lined cap to keep them from becoming tangled. As a bonus, laying your head to rest on satin or silk will also decrease wrinkles on your face! This one is a no brainer.
