Girls with wavy hair or wavy curls sometimes have a hard time finding the right product for their hair. If you go with a product that's too heavy, you risk pulling your waves down and flattening them out. However, going too lightly with product will allow your waves to frizz. Finding the right balance can take some work, but here are the the underrated wavy hair products you should try.
Underrated Wavy Hair Products
Most wavy girls opt to let their curls air dry, and this is perfectly fine. Air drying allows your curls to assume their natural shape. Additionally, wavy girls have the luxury of being able to get their hair taken care of faster than others. Here are some products to try.
Tresemme Curl Care:
You don't have to spend a bundle to get a good mousse that will give your waves definition. Depending on the length and thickness of your curls, use 2-5 egg sized globs to coat each strand. Once you've covered all your curls, gently scrunch to recreate your curl's natural shape. Allow to air dry and enjoy frizz free, non sticky curls all day.
L'Oreal Curl Activating Mousse:
This mousse works very similarly to the Tresemme one. Apply with general handfuls to damp hair, scrunch and allow your curls to air dry. If you want more defined waves, you can also try using a diffuser. The only major difference between these products is that the L'Oreal is a smaller bottle and therefore less product than the Tresemme.
L'Oreal Energizing Dry Shampoo:
ONe thing you don't want to do is overwash your waves. Too many shampoos will strip your hair of natural oils, which will cause your scalp to overcompensate and therefore overproduce oil. This will make your hair heavier in the long run. Try to extend your between wash days with dry shampoo.
Garnier Curl Calm Down:
Sometimes your curls are just going to be a bit unruly. On days when humidity gets the best of your hair, you can use this silky smooth product to help tame flyaways. Apply a little to wayward strands to bring them back under control.
