What you’ll need:
  • 8 oz Shea butter
  • 4 oz raw coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil, and black castor oil
  • 10-15 drops essential oil. We like chamomile, lavender, tea tree, or peppermint `
What to do:

Begin by softening the Shea butter in your microwave for a few seconds with the coconut oil. However, make sure you don’t melt these ingredients into a liquid. Once the ingredients are softened, use a hand mixer to whip into a smooth mixture. Add in the aloe vera, and continue blending. Mix in the jojoba oil, followed by the black castor oil. Once these have been added in, you can mix in the essential oils of your choice.

Store this mixture in a cool place in a sealable jar. A mason jar works great. If the product experiences separation, you can mix it up with a spoon or a blender if needed.

Using Rice Water For Fast Curl Growth

How to use it:

Now, the fun can begin. You get to use your own product that you made! Start with freshly washed curls and squeeze out excess water. An old t-shirt is great for this. Once curls are damp, but not saturated, apply the curl cream throughout. Allow your strands to air dry, or you can use a diffuser to gently dry your curls. Enjoy hydrated, shiny, and beautiful curls!
