What are the benefits?

If you're wondering why we'd encourage you to slather eggs on your curls, you're not alone. However, there are a ton of benefits to this at-home treatment made with natural ingredients. Honey and eggs can soften dry, distressed curls, reduce hair fall, help nourish your follicles to encourage healthy growth, ward off scalp infections or bacteria, helps reduce scalp inflammation, and makes your curls soft. While that's a rather exhausting list, it sounds pretty good to us. Ready to give it a try?

Ingredients:

This couldn't get any easier. Grab 1 large egg yolk, and 1 teaspoon of honey. Really. That's it. If you happen to have very long or very thick hair, you might consider adding another egg yolk or more honey to make sure you have enough to cover your hair completely.

What to do:

Grab a bowl, and then add in both ingredients. Whisk them together until smooth, and the ingredients are fully incorporated. Then, apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage it in, using slow circles. Pull the remaining mixture through your hair, so your curls are fully covered. Leave it on your strands for an hour. You can cover your curls with a plastic shower cap to keep from transferring the product to your clothes, and the extra heat will help soften your curls. After, shampoo your curls and follow with your favorite conditioner. That's it! Use this treatment whenever you feel your curls need an extra boost.
