What you need:

  • 4 tablespoons Shea Butter
  • 1 tablespoons Argan Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel hydrosol  or organic aloe vera juice
  • 7 drops Rosemary essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon vitamin E oil or 3-4 capsules

What to do:

Before making this leave in conditioner, make sure your blender, bowls, and mixing utensils are sanitized with hot water and soap. This will prevent mold from growing in your product.

Create a double boiler by using two pans on your stove. Over a low flame, add the coconut oil, shea butter, and argan oil. Allow to slowly melt, stirring as necessary.

Once the ingredients in the pan are melted and combined, add in the vitamin E oil. Remove from heat and allow to sit until it congeals at room temperature. Don’t allow it to become a solid.

Transfer to a blender and begin blending on high. Add in the room temperature witch hazel slowly. It should take about 5 minutes for all the ingredients to successfully incorporate. Add in essential oils. Store in an air tight jar, such as a clean mason jar.

How to use:

Now you’ve made this great product so what do you do with it? Using a spoon, scoop a small amount out of the jar. Less is more, especially if you have fine or thin curls. Apply throughout your strands as often as needed. This is great for after showering or to help give your curls a daily moisturizing boost.
