We don’t know about you, but we love a good DIY project, especially when it benefits our curly hair! Buying products for your curl care can get pricey and there are a lot of products on the market with chemicals or ingredients that just aren’t so great for our curls. We’ve put together the recipes for three awesome leave in treatments that are perfect for naturally curly girls. You can find most of these naturally healthful ingredients right in your kitchen, so get mixing and let us know what you think!

Spray Leave-In Conditioner

Ingredients:
Spray bottle

Filtered/distilled water

Your favorite deep conditioner

Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

Add ingredients into the bottle and shake to mix. Use to give your curls a boost of moisture, hydration and shine. This is great for wash and go styles! Make sure to avoid conditioners with silicone (as it’s very drying to curls) and to shake it well before each use.

Creamy Leave-In Conditioner

Ingredients:

¼ cup shea butter

2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil

¼ cup aloe vera gel

1 teaspoon Jojoba oil or vitamin E oil

Instructions:

Heat the products enough until melted in a microwave safe bowl and blend together. Allow to cool again until partially hardened and then use a hand mixer to achieve a whipped consistency. Add in the jojoba or vitamin E oil, mix until blended and then add in the aloe vera gel. Mix until blended, apply to curls from mid shaft to tips and style as normal!

Deep Hydration Leave-In Conditioner

Ingredients:

1/2 cup aloe vera gel

5 cups filtered water

1 teaspoon jojoba oil or coconut oil

Instructions:

Mix ingredients together and pour into a sealable container. This product is great for dry, coarse curls or for those using protective styling. Keep refrigerated and use when needed!
