I don’t know about you, but I love when I can DIY, especially when it comes to beauty products! If you’ve got curly hair, you might be interested in trying a make it yourself product that can help define curls or give waves a little bit of extra texture. If you’ve ever visited the beach and loved how your curls felt after you’d been in the ocean, check out this super easy spray !

To make this spray, you’ll need:

  • I spray bottle
  • I cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt (not the stuff you usually use for your tabletop)
  • 2 teaspoons of your choice of oil (a good choice is fractionated coconut oil, which won’t solidify, or an almond or jojoba oil)

Pour all the ingredients into your clean, empty spray bottle. You might need a funnel to get the salt in, or you can easily make one out of a piece of paper. Once all the ingredients are in, shake until they’re well mixed.

To use:

After you’ve cleaned your curls and applied a light leave in moisturizer, you can spritz your new homemade product throughout your curls. Make sure to lightly cover all the strands. You can then section your curls and twist them create more defined waves. Allow curls to air dry or dry with a diffuser to speed up the process. Once curls are completely dry, flip your hair over and gently shake them out.

To freshen up your curls, you can use the sea salt spray throughout the week! Spray onto the ends of your curls to get recharged, beach babe waves.
