For strength:

What you’ll need:

1/3 cup olive or almond oil

1 teaspoon chamomile

1 large yolk

1 teaspoon raw, organic honey

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon rosemary essential oils

Mix all of these ingredients together, blending until smooth. Warm in the microwave for a few seconds to soften the oil and honey, then give it another mix. Apply throughout freshly washed hair, and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing out. Follow up with your favorite conditioner.

How To Make Your Own Curly Hair Shampoo Bar

For dry hair:

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 cup milk, warmed. You can also substitute dairy free milk.

I tablespoon each of jojoba oil, avocado oil, and almond oil. If you don’t have these, use 3 tablespoons of waht you have on hand.

2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil

10 drops of you favorite essential oil. Some ones we love include ylangylang, lemon, and lavender for their healing and anti bacterial properties.

Warm the milk but don’t scald or boil it. Mix in the cocoa, and then add in the remaining ingredients, stirring well between. Continue mixing until the mask has achieved a creamy consistency, like a great hot cocoa. Cool, and apply throughout your damp curls. Cover, and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes, but more if your curls are very parched. Then, rinse out with cool water, and follow up with a conditioning treatment.
