We don’t know about you, but we love any opportunity to get great curls. It’s even better when we have to do minimal work! When it comes to taking care of your curls, you know that it can be quite the demand on your time. Here are some of our favorite ways to get a quick, overnight  fix for your curls!

Shedding: If you’re experiencing curl loss, use coconut milk to help protect curls. Douse your strands in coconut milk and wrap up in a shower cap to help retain heat. Allow to sit overnight, then wash and style as needed.

Splits: While the only way to get rid of splits are to trim them, you can help manage them between appointments. Create a mixture of coconut and olive oil to coat your curls with. Make sure to cover your hair in a plastic cap so you don’t stain your pillowcase. Rinse, shampoo and condition in the morning.

Frizz: If you’re dealing with frizz, considering picking up some aloe vera gel. You can either extract it from the plant leaf yourself or buy it already packaged. Either works fine. Apply to your curls for an overnight treatment or use it as a prepoo. If you go the overnight route rinse it in the morning for smoother, shinier curls.

Dandruff: Everyone hates those itchy, dry flakes. To combat dandruff, mix olive oil and lemon juice together in a bowl. Apply to your scalp, making sure to massage the mixture into your hairline. Wash your hair in the morning and enjoy a refreshed, healthier scalp!

Damage: One of the hardest things to combat and fix is damaged curls. While the mixes we already talked about will work wonders on your stressed out strands, you might find yourself needing a little something extra. Mix jojoba oil and 5-6 drops of vitamin E. Apply the mixture from roots to tips, cover in plastic and cleanse in the morning for well-treated curls.
