Are you frustrated with dry, frizzy curls? Aren't we all! Frizz and dryness are the worst enemies of a curly girl and we want to help you combat them. While it's impossible to banish them completely, you can take some steps to managing your curls and one of those steps includes figuring out which oils are best for your curls.

These oils are all natural and work to immediately penetrate into your curl's shaft, which means they deliver serious doses of moisture.  You can use these oils to help prep your curls for cleansing as a pre poo or as part of the L.O.C. method.

Types of oils:

There are two types of oils; sealing and moisturizing. It's important to know which you should be using so you can be the most benefit from your oils. Sealing oils include grapeseed, olive and Morroccan oils. These oils sit on top of your curl's strands and lock in moisture. Moisturizing oils such as coconut, shea, and avocado oils penetrate into your curl's cortex to add back in moisture.

How to know what kind of oil you need:

Not all curls are created the same and therefore they all have different needs. Before picking up your next oil assess your curls' individual needs. If you have low porosity curls, meaning your hair is most likely dry, you're going to need a moisturizing oil. If your curls are thick and heavy, you're most likely going to need to moisturize your curls and then seal that moisture in. Take some time to really assess your curls and think about your individual needs, as many curlies have a few types of curls going on!
