Moisturizing curl care mask:
Curls are always in need of a bit of moisture. Ingredients to make this mask include:
2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1 teaspoon raw, organic honey
1 tablespoon mashed, ripe avocado
What to do:
Combine all the ingredients into a bowl and mix until blended smooth. Wash your curls using a gentle cleansing shampoo and then section them into 4-6 section, depending on how much hair you have. Apply the product generously throughout your curls, making sure to cover each strand. Put on a plastic cap, sit back and relax for 30-60 minutes before rinsing it out under cool water. Follow up with conditioner.
Homemade sea salt spray:
For curlies with wavy strands, sea salt spray can go a long way as it helps by creating some texture and body. It can be expensive to buy at the store, so make your own to save some coin. To make this spray you'll need:
1 teaspoon of sea salt
2 cups filtered water
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon aloe vera juice or gel
What to do:
This one is super easy! Mix all of the ingredients together and pour them into a spray bottle. When you're ready to style, spritz onto damp curls, scrunch and go! This spray can also be used as a curl refresher spray on in between days to help breathe life back into flattened curls.
Everyone can use some extra softness and shine, which is what a good deep conditioner can provide. This one needs just a few ingredients:
1 ripe avocado
1/2 cup virgin olive oil
1/4 cup melted shea butter
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
What to do:
Once again, a super easy to achieve product! Simply mix all the ingredients together and blend until completely smooth. Apply directly to damp, freshly washed curls, cover and allow to sit. You can also use a steam hood or wrap your head in a warm towel for added benefits. When done, rinse with cool water, follow with a conditioner and go!
