The Easiest Curly Updo

This updo really couldn’t be any easier. Start with curls that have been refreshed, as you’ll need some texture and volume to give this updo some lift. Then, take two small sections at the crown of your head. Gently tease or apply a volume lifting product at the roots for more volume at your crown.

Take the section you teased, and gather it together. Then, secure it in place with bobby pins. Push up a bit to create more lift. You can pinch individual curls and pull up as needed.

Take two small sections from the side of your head, pull them to the back of your head, and secure in place with bobby pins, one side at a time. Then, repeat on the other side. Pinch and pull curls as needed to help create volume and lift. You can also leave some curls out around your face to soften the look with face-framing curls, or you can pull your strands back for a more sophisticated look.

Take the remaining curls, and split into two sections. Create two small messy buns with the remaining curls. Pull the buns gently, to loosen the strands and help create more volume. Then, take your bobby pins and pin them close to your head, bringing the buns closer together. Adjust as necessary, adding extra bobby pins if needed to help hold your curls in place. Finish with a spritz of hair spray, and enjoy.
