If you have curly hair, you know how frustrating it can be when your marvelous first day volume falls completely flat on day two. Let’s not even get started on day three hair! What would you say if we told you there’s a way to get great volume on your second day? I know, we were disbelieving at first too. Here’s a method to take your curly from blah to amazing.

Utilize dry shampoo at your roots to give your curls a much needed boost of volume and texture.

Correct:

While we wouldn’t recommend using it on all of your curls, hitting some of your more squished strands with a curling wand can create some great volume. You can lightly curl 10-15 of your squashed curls without causing too much damage. Before curling, make sure to utilize a heat protectant spray to keep delicate strands from drying out or frying!

Part:

While a hard part down the middle is popular, consider arranging your curls into a zig zag part when you’re working with second day curls. This type of part will make it look as though your curls have more volume than they actually do.

Control:
Sometimes ends get roughed up, which can lead to the look of frizzy, messy curls. To control your ends, add a few drops of oil or use a light hold hairspray to keep everything in place.

Volume:

If your curls still need a little pick me up, you can utilize a volumizing spray to get them where they need to be. Spray your roots around the crown of your head and anywhere else you notice your curls tend to get limp. Fluff them up and enjoy your new second, third or fourth day look!
