Lazy Day Hairstyles for Curly Hair

Hey curlies! Do you ever struggle to find the perfect lazy day hairstyle that still makes your curls look awesome? It can be tough to find the right look for your curls on the weekends, post gym or when don’t feel like styling your hair. Well, we understand the struggle and we are loving this tutorial by Alyssa. She shows us how to get awesome “lazy girl” styles that are quick and easy! We’ve broken them down into easy how-tos, and you can watch the video below:

Messy bun: Grab your curls from behind and push them upwards, leaving the front portion free. Wrap your hair tie around your hair twice. Leaving the front portion out will allow you to create the “messy bun” look more easily and provide more volume to your bun. Arrange your curls around your bun however you prefer. If you find they’re getting out of hand, grab a bobby pin to hold them in place.

Pigtail buns: Divide your curls down the center into a middle part. Pull your curls up to the top of your head and wrap your hair tie around your hair twice, stopping in the middle of the third go around to leave the front portion loose. Fluff any of the remaining curls around the bun. Repeat on the remaining side.

Top knot: Pull your curls forward and gather them into a high ponytail on the top of your head. Take your curls and split them down the middle. Twist the strands together to the end of your hair. Once the twist is complete, wrap it around the ponytail base and secure with bobby pins.

Mini buns: Section off two small portions of hair in the front, leaving the back of your curls free. Gather one side and begin twisting, wrapping it around to create mini bantu knots. Secure with bobby pins. Repeat on the other side and fluff your back curls if you’d like.
