Have you been searching for the perfect shampoo for your type 4c curls? YouTuber Lulu on Pure Estrogen recently discussed why she loves the African Black Soap shampoo for her 4c natural curls. As she has been working on building her curl care regiment, Lulu has tried out many different products in an effort to find which one works best for her curls.

Lulu recommends picking up African Black Soap from the company Incredible by Nature. The shampoo is made with organic products and can also be used as a body wash. This shampoo contains moisturizing ingredients such as palm oil, coconut oil and shea butter. These ingredients allows the shampoo to give your scalp a good cleanse without stripping its natural moisture.

To use: Remove your hair from any styles, allowing your curls to be free. Thoroughly wet your curls either in the shower or by using a water bottle. Work through your curls with your fingers to gently remove any tangles or knots. Shake the shampoo to mix it up and then transfer a small amount to a squeeze bottle, filling up to the 5 oz mark with water. Your ratio should be 1 part shampoo to 4 parts water. Apply the shampoo to your entire scalp, massaging it in at the base of your curls and working it through your strands. Once your hair is saturated, rinse the soap out until the water is running clear.

Follow this shampoo regime with your favorite conditioner or deep conditioner, and style! If you use African Black soap, let us know how you like it!
